Graveyard of the Atlantic

Graveyard of the Atlantic was supposed to be the sixth studio album by American alternative rock band The Ataris. However, the status of the album and the release date are unknown, as it has been pushed back for over 2 years. Recording for the album began in 2008, though was abandoned and halted while the band was touring and taking a break, with the remainder of the album being recorded in May 2010 with producer Bob Hoag at the Flying Blanket Studio in Mesa, Arizona. The Ataris have also announced a world tour in support of the album. Bullion Records will release the album in Japan and Paper + Plastick will release it worldwide.

On November 25, 2010, a new 7" vinyl EP was released by the band. It contained two new songs, set to appear on the album: the album's title track "Graveyard of the Atlantic" and "All Souls' Day". It was released through the band's new label Paper + Plastick.

In March 2010, Kris Roe mentioned that "Fast Times at Dropout High" would be re-recorded for the new album, as well as a Gasoline Heart cover. [1]

In May 2011, Kris Roe has announced that he is finishing up a total of 18 songs, putting 10-13 on the actual album. The b-sides will be released on a variety of 7" vinyls. The album has been delayed for over two years, Roe originally said it would come out in Summer 2009.
